Hearandplay.com
March 22, 2007This site requires that you sign up and give your email address, make a login password etc. before you can get access to the resources. Once you sign up, you get taken to a members section which gives you access to the site’s lessons. You can also create your own profile on the site and upload photos of yourself if you really want to.
Once you get in though there are a lot of free, informative lessons so I recommend signing up.
You can also access files which have been uploaded by members themselves.

March 22, 2007Playpianotoday.com
March 22, 2007This site looks slick and professional, but you are required to follow the screens step by step so there is a lack of freedom. You have to give your email and they then send you a link to view the lessons. The lessons all appear to be audio based with no sheet music (I presume that you have to purchase the sheet music?).
Please comment if you have used this site yourself!

Playpiano.com
March 22, 2007This site mainly focuses on the dvd crash courses that the author sells. You can sign up for some free lessons as well. The site is quite text heavy and a little hard to navigate around, but who know, the lessons might be brilliant.
I would welcome any feedback from anyone who’s tried a lesson from this site.

March 22, 2007The free lessons are quite good and go through most of the basics and then move on to slightly more complex topics. There are audio files as well which makes it a lot easier to follow.

March 20, 2007This is a useful site for learning chords and scales. The site mostly uses colour PDF diagrams in the various lessons on offer.

March 19, 2007This site has a handful of lessons, including real player files. Aesthetically not the nicest looking site but it has some useful tips.
